Dominion Energy has begun construction on 600 Canal Place, a new 20-story office tower in downtown Richmond, Virginia. The 417-foot-tall, 960,000-square-foot energy-efficient building is expected to be completed in 2019. The new tower will be a proud addition to Richmond’s skyline, housing retail space and more than 1,000 Dominion Energy employees.

A decision about the construction of a second, adjacent tower will be made in 2019.

The world-class design and construction team for 600 Canal Place is led by a joint venture of Richmond-based Hourigan Construction and Clayco of Chicago. Kendall Heaton Associates is the record architect, Pickard Chilton is the design architect, PDR Corp is the interior designer and OJB is the landscape architect. Timmons Group is providing civil engineering services, Alvine Engineering is the MEP engineer and Magnusson Klemencic Associates is the structural engineer.
